The EXCALIBUR EXT crank device (crankaroo) is a special crank-based puller designed to be used with EXCALIBUR range Matrix Micro, EXCALIBUR suppressor, EXCALIBUR Bulldog, and Katana crossbow . (It is not compatible with older EXCALIBUR models, which use the C2 crankaroo puller.) The EXCALIBUR CHARGER EXT is an external crank puller that can be easily removed from the crossbow using a bayonet-style system after use, and easily and quickly attached to the crossbow for the next pull. It is not recommended to have it attached while shooting, as it unnecessarily increases the weight of the crossbow and makes it uncomfortable and unstable to hold against the shoulder.
All crossbows that use this EXT charger system have the advantage that if something goes wrong with it (e.g., the crank cord breaks), it can be easily replaced if the shooter has a spare, as it is not integrated into the crossbow stock (where repairs are more difficult and a broken crank also disables the entire crossbow , e.g., a broken cord).
